PARIS (Reuters) – Airbus is considering taking a minority stake in the capital of Evidian, the digital and cyber security business arm of Atos, which the IT services group will spin off, Les Échos daily reported in its Monday edition. , citing well-known sources. with the case.

In an emailed statement, Airbus said it does not comment on the rumours, adding that it was “in constant discussion with our partners, customers and suppliers, but these conversations remain private.”

Contacted by Reuters, Atos, for its part, said that, in connection with the implementation of its strategic plan, it had initiated “exploratory discussions with potential future minority shareholders within the framework of activities grouped under the name Evidian”.

However, the group clarified that “these discussions are not sufficiently advanced to allow further comment”.

In September, Atos rejected an offer to buy Evidian for an enterprise value of 4.2 billion euros from the Onepoint group.

In July, it announced its planned split with the aim of separating and combining Big Data and Security (BDS) activities with its services activities within a unit called Evidian.
