don’t criticize Elon Musk online

Elon Musk, billionaire and new owner of Twitter, absolutely does not like being criticized publicly and employees have learned it the hard way.

Since Elon Musk took possession of Twitter for a trifle of 44 billion dollars, nothing has gone right or almost. Employees have again paid the price.

New Twitter employees fired

Elon Musk has found a way to chop off more heads within Twitter. The reason ? On November 13, Musk apologized that the social network was slow in many countries and blamed the malfunction on engineers.

One of them, Eric Frohnhoefer, then defended himself by explaining:

I think there are three reasons why the app is slow. First, it’s cluttered with little-used features. Second, we’ve racked up years of tech debt by prioritizing speed and functionality over performance. Finally, we spend a lot of time waiting for responses from the network.

The Android developer then felt that significant rewrites of the Twitter code would be necessary, in addition to massively reducing the number of features, particularly those put in place by Elon Musk which are already causing catastrophic changes. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have more to the leader of the blue bird who fired Eric Frohnhoefer… with a simple tweet.

Same goes for engineer Sasha Solomon who said laying off half of the employees may not have helped fix the speed concerns. She was fired immediately too. A bit annoyed, she then posted this message: “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, fuck you Elon”.
