No National Security Investigation In Sight of Elon Musk, Says White House

WASHINGTON, Oct 24 (Reuters) – The White House on Monday denied media claims that the United States was considering launching a national security probe into some of Elon Musk’s investments.

White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment on the quality of relations between Joe Biden’s administration and the businessman as well as Elon Musk’s activities involving ‘other countries.

Asked about an article published last week by Bloomberg reporting discussions within the Biden administration about a possible review of certain investments of Elon Musk in terms of American national security, Karine Jean-Pierre replied : “This information is not true (…) The examination in terms of national security, it is not true.” (Report Steve Holland and Andrea Shalal, French version Bertrand Boucey)
