Tesla is raising prices in the United States as the electric vehicle maker battles rising aluminum costs and a global supply chain crisis.
According to its website, the Model S list price has risen to $109,490 from $104,490 earlier in the month.
The Model Y climbed to $67,990 from $64,990.
Earlier this month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly said he had a “super bad feeling” about the global economy as he announced a plan to cut 10% of salaried jobs.

In addition to concerns over rising interest rates, Tesla was hit by Musk’s takeover bid on Twitter TWTR,

Musk is meeting with Twitter staff on Thursday to discuss his proposed takeover.
