The Tesla Roadster is the most anticipated electric vehicle in the world in 2022

According to this survey, two Tesla models that are not yet on the market are in the first and second positions of the most expected electric cars in 2022.

The second generation Tesla Roadster was introduced in 2017, but years later it is still not on the market. Elon Musk’s Roadster is desirable and for good reason, according to a study conducted by LeaseFetcher, the Tesla Roadster is the most anticipated electric model in the world. This model has accumulated more than 580,000 searches per month in 2022, or 6,960,000 queries per year!

In second place we find another model of the Californian brand, the Tesla Cybertruck. Like the Roadster, the Cybertruck is long awaited, but unlike the convertible, the pickup is expected to go into production very soon, it’s only a matter of months, unless Tesla’s plans change some news. More than 6,612,000 searches were performed in 2022.

In third position we find the VW ID.Buzz (4,404,000 searches), then the Apple car (3,432,000 searches) in fourth position, and finally the Hummer EV (2,400,000 searches) in the fifth square.

More generally, Tesla Model 3 is the most searched electric car on Google with more than 25 million queries in 2022. The Kia EV6 comes in second with 16.4 million searches. It is followed by the Tesla Model Y (15.6 million) and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (13.3 million). The Porsche Taycan is only fifth in the ranking, followed by the Tesla Model X, Tesla Model S, Polestar 2, BMW i4 and Audi e-tron.
